Happy Oscar day to those that celebrate. I am sorry for the lack of Oscar content compared to last year. I would’ve loved to write up the three best movies of the year; Drive My Car, Licorice Pizza, and The Worst Person In The World. I am hoping to get each of those done soon. It feels very weird that we have four of the best-made films of the decade, with at least two of them being lowkey masterpieces, and there’s like a 50% chance that CODA wins Best Picture. A perfectly fine and nice film, but something people would look back on in a decade and question how Drive My Car, Dune, and Licorice Pizza seemingly never had a chance. The Power of the Dog winning would quell a lot of those future questions. Oh well.
